The Colombian city of Cartagena hosted last 27-29 March a meeting of the working groups and Executive Committee of Regulatel, preceded by a seminar on connectivity in Latin America. The groups in charge of competition, spectrum benchmark/indicators and user rights and quality of service presented projects and plans for 2017. In the latter group ANACOM presented the latest developments in the European Union regarding data protection. The Executive Committee reported on preparations for the BEREC-Regulatel summit meeting (Cascais, May) and on cooperation activities (FCC, ICANN, COMTELCA) and the November plenary meeting in Mexico (whose regulator will head the Forum in 2018).
