The April 2017 issue of the Spectru monthly bulletin reports on the decision to conduct an applied research and development study and the consequent process to competitively award a research grant for that project, on the subject of a “Prospective study of alternative spectrum management models and scenarios”.
Other highlights include approval of the regulation on provision of statistical information and of the public consultation on changes to the leased lines reference offer (LLRO) and the reference Ethernet leased lines offer (RELLO), the consultation on the new ‘257’ dialling code for the Braga geographic area added to the National Numbering Plan, the hearing meant to gather information about the draft methodology for gauging performance of mobile services and GSM, UMTS and LTE coverage, and the limited tender to conduct a study on expansion of the offering of digital terrestrial television (DTT) programming services.
