Agreement on the distribution of parishes potentially lacking mobile broadband

On 20 April 2017, ANACOM approved a final decision on the possibility of amending the agreement for the distribution of the 588 parishes potentially lacking mobile broadband; coverage of these parishes was imposed as part of the process to renew the rights of use of frequencies in the 2100 MHz band, pursuant to ANACOM decision of 18 February 2016https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1380120.

In this context, ANACOM decided that, by 21 March 2018, MEO, NOS and Vodafone Portugal will have to communicate any bilateral and consensual changes to the agreement on the distribution of parishes potentially lacking broadband, as approved by ANACOM decision of 2 March 2017https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1406721.

The respective draft decision was submitted to a prior hearing of interested parties, in response to which comments were received from MEO and NOS.
