Brussels hosted last 19 April a meeting of the BEREC expert working group on Next Generation Networks (NGN EWG). Two workshops were held in the scope of the meeting. The first concerned implementation of Directive 2014/61/EU on cutting broadband costs, which included six presentations by national regulatory authorities (NRAs), including ANACOM. At the second workshops the topics of wavelength division multiplexing and NG-PON2 were presented by an operator, an NRA and an equipment maker.
The current situations of the project requirement documents (PRDs) this group is responsible for in 2017 were also considered, specifically the PRD concerning the report on IP interconnection.
