The 33rd meeting of the project team on Future Numbering Issues (FNI) of the ECC’s WG NaN took place last 25-26 April in Mainz, Germany, where the attending regulators discussed the latest information on numbering.
They specifically examined contributions received during the public consultation on “ECC Rec. 17-02 - Harmonised European Management and Assignment Principles for Geographic E.212 Mobile Network Codes (MNC)” (ECC Consultation https://cept.org/ecc/tools-and-services/ecc-consultation) and worked to complete the recommendation on numbering for e-call service for submission to public consultation, after approval by the next plenary session of WG NaN (late May 2017).
The work to develop a report on the use of numbering resources by over-the-top services also continues.
The next meeting is scheduled for June of this year in Stockholm.
