On 26 May 2017, ANACOM signed a cooperation protocol with the following entities in the area of civil aviation: AAN - Autoridade Aeronáutica Nacional (National Aeronautical Authority), ANAC - Autoridade Nacional da Aviação Civil (National Civil Aviation Authority), GAMA - Gabinete de Investigação de Acidentes Marítimos e Autoridade para a Meteorologia Aeronáutica (Maritime Accident Investigation Office and Aeronautical Meteorology Authority) and GPIAAF - Gabinete de Prevenção e Investigação de Acidentes com Aeronaves e Acidentes Ferroviários (Office for the Prevention and Investigation of Aircraft and Rail Accidents).
