Approval of the amendment to the right of use of frequencies granted to MEO for DTT services

By final decision of 22 June 2017, ANACOM has approved an amendment to and reissue of the right of use of frequencies (DUF) granted to MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia for digital terrestrial television services (DTT MUX A), corresponding to title ICP-ANACOM no. 06/2008.

Approval was also given to the report of the prior hearing and the public consultation to which the respective draft decision was submitted (draft decision of 22 September 2016). In response to these procedures, comments were received from the following undertakings: MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, RTP - Rádio e Televisão de Portugal, SIC - Sociedade Independente de Comunicações, TVI - Televisão Independente, ARTV - Canal Parlamento, DECO - Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection), Blogue TDT em Portugal and Nelson Teixeira.
