On 16 June 2017, ANACOM approved the 2016 Annual Report and Accounts of the Electronic Communications Universal Service Compensation Fund (FCSU), pursuant to the provisions of LCE - Lei da Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=975162) (Article 98) and Lei do Fundo (Law Governing the Fundhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1136652).
As the FCSU's supervisor, ANACOM is responsible for preparing two reports:
- one report in response to the requirements of article 98 of the LCE and point d), paragraph 1 article 4 of the Law Governing the Fund, setting out the estimated cost of universal service obligations, indicating the contributions made by all undertakings Involved; and
- a second report in compliance with article 3, paragraphs 5 and 6 of the Law Governing the Fund, with the accounts and financial statements of the FCSU.
By producing the 2016 Annual Report and Accounts, ANACOM has complied with both legal obligations for the 2016 period.
