EASA launches consultation on regulation to govern operation of drones

The European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has put a proposal to public consultation (until 12 August 2017) to regulate the operation of small drones in Europe.

The proposal provides a framework to safely operate drones while allowing this industry to remain agile, to innovate and continue to grow. The risks which these drones pose to people on the ground and to other aircraft, as well as issues of privacy, security and data protection, are also taken into consideration.
