ITU launches public consultation on OTT services

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has launched an online public consultation to compile input on public policy considerations for OTT.

This consultation, approved by the ITU Council Working Group on International Internet-related Public Policy Issues, seeks comments from all stakeholders on the opportunities and regulatory implications associated with OTT, about the contribution of these services in aspects related to security, safety and privacy of the consumer and on possible models of cooperation at local and international level.

Contributions must be submitted by 19 August 2017 through the consultation page.

A meeting will be held on 18 September 2017 at ITU Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, where participants will have the opportunity to present their contributions and discuss them with the other participants.
