Decree-Law no. 57/2017https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1416519, published on 9 June, establishes the regime governing the making available on the market, putting into service and use of radio equipment, transposing Directive no. 2014/53/EUhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1305232 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 16 April 2014 on the harmonisation of the laws of the Member States relating to the making available on the market of radio equipment (RED Directive).
This decree-law, which comes into force on the day following its publication, repeals Decree-Law no. 192/2000 of 18 August, which had already established the regime governing the free movement, placing on the market and putting into service in the national territory of radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment, as well as the regime governing the conformity assessment and marking of this equipment.
Nevertheless, Decree-Law no. 57/2017 sets out that radio equipment which is in conformance under Decree-Law no. 192/2000 and which was been placed on the market prior to 13 June 2017 may continue to be made available on the market or put into service.
