ANACOM confirms CTT non-compliance with quality of service indicator

ANACOM confirmed, by final decision, that in 2016 CTT failed to comply with the minimum value set for the indicator "non-priority mail not delivered within 15 working days" and ordered the company to apply the compensation mechanism.

According to this mechanism, the concessionaire of the universal postal service will have to apply a deduction of 0.03 percentage points to the weighted average variation in the prices of the basket of correspondence, postal parcels and editorial mail services allowed for 2017, which deduction must universally benefit users of these services.

The deduction is to be fully applied by 31 December 2017.

CTT must also notify ANACOM as to the price deduction to be implemented, prior to its application, and report on its compliance with this decision.

The company is also required to correct the information disclosed on its website regarding the values of the quality of service indicators verified in 2016, within 10 working days from the date of notification of the final decision; and in postal establishments within 20 working days of the same date.
