The 13th plenary meeting of the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) was took place last 30 November in Bonn, Germany, where the following matters were discussed:
- 2018 working programme;
- results of work carried out by the various ERGP working groups, specifically concerning costing methodologies for postal service, definition of criteria for developing studies regarding user needs, quality of service, consumer protection and complaint processing, monitoring of postal sector evolution and distinction between postal services and transport;
- internal organisation and operational efficiency of the ERGP.
At this meeting the chair of the ANACOM Board of Directors, João Cadete de Matos, was elected to chair the ERGP during year 2019. Assuming that office in 2019 means that ANACOM will also serve as vice-chair in 2018 and 2020.
The plenary meeting was preceded on 29 November by a workshop on strengthening postal service consumers, specifically with regard to new developments, challenges and solutions in this area.
