A briefing session, open to all interested parties, was held on 2 February 2018, at Fundação Portuguesa das Comunicações (Portuguese Communications Foundation), in Lisbon, on the European Commission’s WiFi4EU initiative.
This session was attended by the Chairman of ANACOM, João Cadete de Matos, and the Portuguese Secretary of State for Infrastructure, Guilherme d'Oliveira Martins.
In addition, three further briefing sessions were held in Guimarães, Coimbra and Évora; these sessions were jointly organised by ANACOM and ANMP - Associação Nacional de Municípios Portugueses (National Association of Portuguese Municipalities) and were addressed to Municipal Councils as targets of the first phase of this initiative.
