Safer Internet Day 2018

The Safer Internet Day was celebrated on 6 February 2018, organized jointly by the European Internet Safety Network (InSafe) and the International Association of Internet Hotlines (INHOPE) with support from the European Commission.

In Portugal, the day was marked with a seminar organized by the Safe Internet Centre Consortium (which includes the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology, the Directorate-General for Education, the Instituto Português do Desporto e Juventude, Microsoft Portugal and the Fundação PT), with the aim this year of debating the central topic of – “Creating and sharing responsibly: a better Internet starts with you" – celebrating the 10 years of activity of the Safe Internet Centre.

As part of the commemorations, there was also a competition aimed at all young people between 13 and 30 years of age, involving the creation of original photographs for the Safe Internet Line poster “Accept the Challenge!".
