Following an audit of the SCA - Sistema de Contabilidade Analítica (Analytical Accounting System) used by MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, carried out by Mazars & Associados, by decision of 7 February 2018, ANACOM approved a declaration as to the conformity of this system with the applicable legal and regulatory provisions (with reference to financial year 2015).
Approval was likewise given to a set of determinations and recommendations issued by ANACOM with a view to improving the SCA, as well as to the report on the prior hearing.
In particular, ANACOM declares that the results of the SCA used by MEO for the year 2015 were produced according to:
- The rules set out in paragraph 5 of article 85 of the LCE - Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Law) as regards narrowband access to the public telephone network at a fixed location and publicly available telephone services at a fixed location.
- The provisions of article 71 of the LCE, as regards access to physical infrastructure and broadband accesses, the leased line service (terminal and trunk segments) and as regards call origination and termination of calls on the public telephone network at a fixed location.
