According to current legislation, radio and electronic communications equipment must comply with standards aimed at protecting the safety and health of consumers, as well as preventing interference between devices.
In this leaflet, ANACOM provides information on the requirements that consumers must check before purchasing radio and electronic communications devices, namely:
- CE marking;
- name and contact details of the manufacturer and/or importer;
- EU declaration of conformity (in the case of radio equipment);
- instructions in Portuguese;
- indication of use restrictions (if any).
The leaflet also contains an illustrative list of the devices covered.
