Wholesale market for call origination on the public telephone network provided at a fixed location for the provision of retail telephone services

By determination of 13 April 2018, ANACOM has approved a draft decision on the wholesale market for call origination on the public telephone network provided at a fixed location for the provision of retail telephone services - definition of the product market and geographic market, assessment of significant market power (SMP) and imposition, maintenance, amendment or withdrawal of regulatory obligations.

It was decided to submit the draft decision to the prior hearing of interested parties, in accordance with Código de Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code), and also to the general consultation procedure established in Article 8 of Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?categoryId=333114). Under both procedures, a period of thirty working days has been granted for interested parties to comment (written comments in Portuguese).

At the same time, under the legally established terms, it was decided to request an opinion from AdC - Autoridade da Concorrência (Competition Authority), as well as to send notice to consumer associations.
