The ECC WG NaN project team on Number Portability and Switching (PT NPS) held a meeting last 23-24 May in Copenhagen.
The participants studied the comments received regarding ECC Report 274 on “Regulatory analysis of over-the-air provisioning of SIM profiles, including its impact on number portability”, soon to be submitted for public consultation.
The workshop on the role of numbers associated to fraud was also planned. It will be held on 11 December 2018 and focus on the conclusions set out in ECC Report 275 on “The role of E.164 numbers in international fraud and misuse of electronic communications services”, already approved by WG NaN.
Participation in this workshop, which will be publicised on the ECC website, may be extended to other entities other than national regulators, such as operators.
The next meeting of this team is scheduled for October 2018.
