ERGP submits 2019 work programme to consultation

The European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) has launched a public consultation (closing 24 September 2018) on its work programme for 2019, the year in which ANACOM will take over as chair of this group.

With a view to ensuring the proper organization of activities to undertaken and their relevance to the sector, the draft work programme sets out the main themes of Group’s work, as well as the specific objectives to be pursued during 2019 and the expected dates of completion. The document under consultation seeks to reflect, in an integrated manner, the contributions received from all stakeholders, following, in particular, the open consultation held between January and February of this year on the principal specific areas and topics to be considered in this work programme.

Interested parties should send their contributions in English to GROW-ERGP@ec.europa.eumailto:GROW-ERGP@ec.europa.eu and ergp2019@anacom.ptmailto:ergp2019@anacom.pt. The contributions received will be taken into account in the preparation of the final version of the ERGP 2019 work programme, which should be approved by the end of the year.

The proposed 2019 work programme was one of the points approved at the 14th ERGP plenary meeting, held in Oslo, Norway, on 29 June 2018. This meeting was chaired by Jack Hamande of the Belgian Institute for Telecommunication and Post (BIPT/IBPT), with the support of the Vice-Chairs, João Cadete de Matos of ANACOM, and Angelo Cardani of Autorità per le Garanzie nelle Comunicazioni (AGCOM).
