A bilateral meeting with ANACOM's Spanish counterpart, Comisión Nacional de los Mercados y la Competencia (CNMC), took place on 17 July 2018 at ANACOM's headquarters in Lisbon.
A range of issues were addressed at the meeting with analysis of the main developments in the sector across the two countries, as well as the deployment of next generation networks and submarine cable connections to the autonomous regions. There was also an opportunity to present ANACOM's experience in measuring the quality of the Internet service (online application and tests).
Eleven members of staff from ANACOM and CNMC took part in this meeting. The Spanish regulator's delegation was led by Bernardo Lorenzo, a member of CNMC's Board of Directors for Electronic Communications and Media, while João Cadete de Matos, Chairman of ANACOM's Board of Directors, headed the Portuguese regulator's delegation.
