The Portuguese Committee of URSI is holding its 12th congress on 14 December 2018, in Lisbon, under the theme "Artificial intelligence and the radio sciences".
With the aim of encouraging young Portuguese authors, ANACOM launched the Best Student Paper Award, awarded to the best paper presented by a student who is its first author and also presents it at the Congress.
To apply for this award, applicants must express their intention using the entry form, upon submitting the article. ANACOM reserves the right to require confirmation of the academic status of all entries.
Entries are hereby invited to submit original scientific papers in the following areas:
- Electromagnetic Metrology
- Waves and fields: electromagnetic theory and applications
- Radiocommunications systems and signal processing
- Electronics and photonics
- Electromagnetic environment and interference
- Wave Propagation and Remote Sensing
- Ionospheric radio-electricity and propagation
- Plasma waves
- Radio astronomy
- Electromagnetics in biology and medicine
The selected papers will be presented at the congress and later posted on ANACOM's website.
Rules governing submission of papers
Entries must be submitted no later than 28 November 20181, by email to ursi.por@anacom.ptmailto:ursi.por@anacom.pt, and should have 2 to 4 full pages in PDF format, using the IEEE template http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/authors/authors_journals.html, with two columns.
The first author will be notified as to the acceptance of the work for oral presentation.
The official language of the Congress is Portuguese, although communications are also accepted in English.
