Approval of reducing the price charged by MEO for providing the service of encoding, multiplexing, transmission and broadcasting of free unrestricted access television channels over the digital terrestrial television (DTT) network (MUX A)

On 22 November 2018, ANACOM approved the final decision on reducing the price charged by MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia for providing the service of encoding, multiplexing, transmission and broadcasting of free unrestricted access television channels over digital terrestrial television (DTT) network (MUX A).

The report of the prior hearing and the public consultation to which the respective draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1456576 of 3 July 2018 was subjected was also approved. Under these procedures, contributions were received from the following organizations/citizens within the deadline: Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection (DECO); MEO- Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia; RTP - Rádio e Televisão de Portugal; SIC – Sociedade Independente de Comunicações; TVI – Televisão Independente; Ricardo B.
