Public consultation on the process of designating the provider(s) of the electronic communications universal service and conditions governing provision

By decision of 31 January 2019, ANACOM approved the public consultation document on the process of designating the universal service provider(s) of electronic communications and on the conditions and specifications governing universal service provision of (i) connection to a public communications network at a fixed location and provision of a publicly available telephone service through that connection and (ii) public pay-telephones.

Approval was also given to the launch of a public consultation on this document, in exercise of the powers conferred by points h) and (i) of paragraph 1 and by point b) of paragraph 2 of article 8 of ANACOM's Statuteshttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1351851. Interested parties are given a period of twenty working days to comment.
