ANACOM approved on 17 May 2019 a draft decision that rejects the request submitted by CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT) to deduct records referring to shipments of priority and registered mail affected by a carrier vehicle breakdown, which took place on 23 January 2019, concerning the carriage of priority mail from the South Production and Logistics Centre to the North Production and Logistics Centre.
ANACOM decided to reject this request considering that the event under consideration - the carrier vehicle breakdown - does not quality as a situation of force majeure or phenomenon whose burst and evolution are clearly outside the control of CTT.
This draft decision was submitted to a prior hearing of CTT for a period of 20 working days.
