The Chairman of ANACOM, João Cadete de Matos, attended the XI General Assembly of the Communications and Telecommunications Regulators Association of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (ARCTEL-CPLP), which was held on 14 and 15 May 2019 in Fortaleza, Brazil.

This XI General Assembly (GA) focused, among other matters, on the main regulatory measures adopted by the members of ARCTEL in 2018, the 2018 activity report and 2018 report and accounts, as well as the 2019 activity plan and budget.
In addition to the standard exchange between regulatory authorities and the sharing of information on the main news and regulatory challenges, this meeting also placed emphasis on the election of Francisco Chate of the Mozambique Communications Regulatory Authority (ARECOM) as ARCTEL’s Secretary, thus ending the term of office of Filipe Baptista, from ANACOM, in this position.
