Postal Regulation Forum 2019 of UPAEP

The Postal Regulation Forum is an initiative of the Regulatory Affairs Working Group of the Postal Union of the Americas, Spain and Portugal (UPAEP), currently co-chaired by Ecuador and Spain. ANACOM is hosting this year's session, which took place from 26 to 29 June 2019 in Ponta Delgada, in the Azores.

The objectives of the 2019 Postal Regulation Forum will be to evaluate the planned changes in the remuneration system among designated operators, to analyse likely and important changes in the future postal environment in the event that the United States of America withdraws from the Universal Postal Union (UPU) and to evaluate regional actions and projects in the context of postal regulation development.

The Forum will join the European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP) at a workshop on "Regulatory Challenges in Europe and the Americas", providing an opportunity to exchange experiences with European postal regulators.
