Through government dispatch, it is made public that on 27 June 2019 the Portuguese Republic deposited, with the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, as depositary, its instrument of ratification of the Convention on Liability for Damage Caused by Space Objects, adopted in Washington, London and Moscow on 29 March 1972.

In accordance with Article 24 of this Convention, it entered into force for the Portuguese Republic on 27 June 2019.

The Portuguese Republic is a Party to the Convention, approved through Decree no. 14/2019, published in the Diário da República (Official Journal), 1st series, no. 75, of 16 April 2019.
