800 102 002: ANACOM's free support line to assist the population the DTT migration kicks off today

From today onwards, anyone with doubts or requiring further information on the DTT broadcasting network  migration process, particularly on the change of the Odivelas Centro broadcaster, scheduled for the 27 November 2019, can call 800 102 002, a support line free of charge provided by ANACOM specifically for this purpose.

This number will be available between 9h and 22h every day. On 27 November, the Odivelas Centro broadcaster will switch from channel 56 to channel 35, and on the following day, will operate up to 24h, as it is expected that more people will contact the call centre , because when the broadcaster is changed, those that only have DTT (free television) will no longer see an image on their television set. To resume seeing television as normal, this just requires retuning automatically, by using the TV remote control or DTT box.

ANACOM's call centre, in addition to providing information and elucidating doubts, will also provide personalised help to people using this line to obtain support in the process of retuning television sets or DTT boxes. If, even with this help, they are unable to retune, ANACOM will have teams in the field ready to help the population to retune their equipment. This service is free of charge.

It should also be highlighted that it will not be necessary to replace or redirect antennas, change the television or box; and no-one needs to subscribe to paid television services.

This information will arrive today to 135 thousand residences and commercial establishments of the zones potentially covered by the change of frequency of the Odivelas Centro broadcaster: the entire municipality of Odivelas; the parishes of Lumiar, Carnide and Santa Clara, in Lisbon; and Encosta do Sol, in Amadora.

Today, ANACOM will also provide, on its website and consumer portal, a video explaining this process and a series of frequently asked questionshttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?categoryId=378618 about the DTT network migration process.
