The ERGP working group on Cross-Border Parcel Delivery held a meeting last 8 October in Mainz, Germany, which was preceded by a meeting of its drafters subgroup on 7 October.
The main aim was to debate results of the questionnaires meant to gather information from the national regulatory authorities (NRAs) of various member-countries and ERGP observers regarding experience implementing Regulation (EU) 2018/644 on the improvement of cross-border parcel delivery services. The discussions focused on identifying difficulties affecting the NRAs and how to resolve them, so as to characterise the process of implementing that regulation and identify eventual points of improvement. This information will be used to produce two reports which the working group should prepare by early 2020, concerning information-gathering and rate assessment.
