ANACOM, by decision of 9 January 2020, approved the draft final decision to be notified to the European Commission (EC), the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the national regulatory authorities (NRAs) of the other European Union (EU) Member States, on the revision of the prices of circuits connecting the mainland and the Autonomous Regions of the Azores and Madeira (CAM circuits) and also prices of circuits that connect the various islands of the Azores (inter-island circuits), supported by submarine cables owned by MEO - Serviços de Comunicação e Multimédia (MEO), within the scope of the leased lines reference offer (LLRO) and Reference Ethernet Leased Lines Offer (RELLO).
Following the analysis carried out and as a result of the measures determined as part of ANACOM’s analysis of market 4https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1395262, ANACOM required MEO to:

Maintain the prices of traditional circuits, within the framework of the LLRO regulated offer.

Reduce (maximum) prices of CAM circuits by 10% and inter-island circuits by 6%, within the framework of the RELLO regulated offer. The new prices will enter into force on the date on which approval was given to the draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1487781, i.e. 17 October 2019, preceding the present decision.
At the same time, approval was given to the report on the prior hearing and general consultation procedure to which the corresponding draft decision was submitted.
