ANACOM explains DTT migration to municipal councillors

ANACOM met with the Lisbon Metropolitan Area and the Lezíria do Tejo Intermunicipal Community on 20 February to explain the digital terrestrial television (DTT) broadcasting network migration process, which is now entering the second phase.

With the same objective and in order to request the cooperation of these municipalities, ANACOM has already held meetings with the Intermunicipal Communities of Alto Alentejo, Baixo Alentejo, Alentejo Litoral, Central Alentejo and Algarve. In total, these associations encompass 92 municipalities.

In addition to explaining the DTT migration process and presenting the measures implemented by ANACOM to support the population and minimise the impact the process may have on them, ANACOM also informed the municipal councillors about the various partnerships it established in order to extend the network for spreading information and providing assistance to the population: Guarda Nacional Republicana (GNR), Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP), Liga Bombeiros Portugueses, Instituto da Segurança Social, Agência para a Modernização Administrativa (AMA) - Lojas e Espaços do Cidadão -, Associação Nacional de Freguesias (ANAFRE), Corpo Nacional de Escutas, Párocos.
