COVID-19 - ANACOM launches practical guide to answer consumer doubts

ANACOM launches a practical guide to answer the main doubts of communication consumers, in the current exceptional scenario arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. The aim is to help the users to know their rights, supporting them in the current circumstances.

The guide answers an extensive series of questions that have become known to ANACOM through the complaints and requests for information made in the complaint books or received directly through the means of contact it provides. Examples of some of the questions raised are presented below:

  • What can I do if I am unable to pay for my communications services?
  • Can I cancel my contract without penalisation?
  • Can I reduce my contract?
  • Can the operator suspend my services?
  • Can I keep the services and pay my debts later?

These and other questions are answered in this practical guide of ANACOM, in plain, clear and easily understandable language, which contributes to greater clarification of the consumers, enabling them to make a more appropriate management of their contract and the relations with their service provider.

The Consumer Guide is available at https://www.anacom-consumidor.pt/ and is presented in the format of a flipbook, which facilitates its consultation. It is also available for downloading.
