The subgroup of the task force on Revision of the Contributions System of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) tasked with finding instruments and mechanisms to recover accumulated debts held a meeting last 6 May, chaired by Spain.
The main goal of this subgroup is to make proposals to submit to the 27th Congress, which even though they were already presented to the UPU Council of Administration at its February 2020 session, could not be approved, as the texts were not sufficiently ready. At this meeting the proposed texts were reviewed again and qualitative progress was made during discussions of the motives behind each of them.
