Consultation on the provision of the universal postal service after the termination of the current concession - extension of the deadline


By decision of 23 July 2020, ANACOM approved the extension, for a further period of 15 business days, of the deadline for the public consultation on the draft decision (SPD) on a series of issues relative to the provision of the universal postal service after the end of the current concession, as established in decisions of 26 June 2020.

Thus, ANACOM partially accepted the request submitted by CTT – Correios de Portugal, with the period for sending contributions now ending on 18 August 2020, where these contributions should be sent, in writing and in the Portuguese language, to the email address psu-postal@anacom.pt1.

Once the consultation process is completed, the contributions that were received will be disclosed to the public; therefore, stakeholders should also send an expurgated version of their contribution, eliminating elements considered confidential for purposes of publication on this website.

ANACOM also decided to extend the deadlines, by the same period of 15 business days, for hearing the organisations representing consumers to which the draft decisions were submitted concerning the establishment of the criteria setting the prices of the universal postal service and the service quality parameters and performance targets associated to the provision of the universal postal service.
