ANACOM helps government test mobile broadband in schools

Quality Internet access is crucial for students, teachers and other professionals in schools to be able to access the digital platforms and content they need to use under the scope of their educational and professional activities. To this end, the government launched an initiative to characterise Mobile Broadband in schools, with the assistance of ANACOM through NET.mede.

In order to carry out this assessment, ANACOM developed NET.mede for schools. This version of NET.mede will be available at NET.mede for schoolshttps://www.netmede.pt/escolas and will help not only to assess the quality of the Internet connection in a few seconds, but will also provide clarification as to the type of services that can be used satisfactorily, with the speed being measured at the time and in the place the tests are done.

In order to access mobile broadband in schools, tests are being carried out at the schools. This is a nationwide initiative which the Minister of Education informed the schools about.
