Workshop on (mobile) infrastructure sharing - November 2020

A BEREC workshop on (mobile) infrastructure sharing organised by the expert working group on Wireless Network Evolution (WNE EWG) was held on 16 November 2020 via an online platform. Various stakeholders (e.g. operators, associations, infrastructure companies and manufacturers) gave presentations on subjects such as: (i) the level and type of infrastructure sharing resulting from the rollout of 5G networks; (ii) the eventual need to alter the BEREC common position on infrastructure sharing (document BoR (19) 110); and (iii) the identification of potential future challenges regarding infrastructure sharing.
