The annual meeting of the Statistics working group (GTE) of the Association of Communications and Telecommunications Regulators of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (ARCTEL-CPLP) was held by videoconference on 25 November 2020. GTE envisages the development of a strong, reliable and consistent structure for gathering, processing and disseminating statistical information within ARCTEL, and for the sharing of respective experience between members. The working group is currently headed by ANACOM; this meeting counted the participation of representatives from the following CPLP members: Angola, Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe.
Highlights of the meeting included: (i) the analysis of the COVID-19 pandemic’s impact with respect to indicators and the gathering of statistical information on the electronic communications and postal services sector; and (ii) development of the ARCTEL questionnaire.
