Approval of MEO's cost of capital rate applicable to the financial year of 2020

By decision of 11 March 2021, ANACOM approved the cost of capital rate of MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, applicable to the financial year of 2020, whose draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1601920 had been notified, on 20 January 2021, to the European Commission (EC), to the Body of European Regulators of Electronic Communications (BEREC) and to the national regulatory authorities of all the other Member States of the European Union. Following this notification, the EC sent ANACOM a request for information, on 27 January 2021, containing two questions generally related to the products affected by the updating of the weighted average cost of capital (WACC) and to the updating schedule of the prices of these products, with ANACOM having clarified the questions posed by the EC, on 1 February 2021. On 18 February 2021, the EC issued a statement with comments that did not imply the change of this draft decision.
