By decision of 29 April 2021, ANACOM has approved a draft decision ordering MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO) to integrate the IP interconnection proposal for traffic associated with emergency services (112 and 112 eCall) and the forest protection number (117) into the Reference Interconnection Offer. This work is to be completed no later than 10 working days following communication of the final decision to MEO, whereas amendments are to be communicated to ANACOM no later than 10 working days following their introduction, in particular any new items not explained in MEO's initial proposal.
It was also decided to submit the draft decision to a prior hearing under the terms of Código do Procedimento Administrativo (Administrative Proceeding Code) and to the general consultation procedure provided for in article 8 of Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1366216). In both cases, interested parties are given a period of 20 working days to respond with comments.
