By decision of 8 July 2021, ANACOM approved the renewal of the rights of use for frequencies (RUF) granted to Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais (Vodafone) and MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO) in the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands for terrestrial electronic communications services.
The report of the prior hearing and the public consultation were also approved, procedures to which the draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1646741, approved on 29 April 2021, was submitted, and under which timely contributions were received from the following bodies: MEO; Vodafone, NOS Comunicações; IUS OMNIBUS; Associação de Operadores de Comunicações Eletrónicas (APRITEL – the Association of Electronic Communications Operators); Union of the Parishes of Abrunheira, Verride and Vila Nova da Barca, Parishes of S. João da Ribeira and Ribeira de S. João; Paderne Parish Council; Alcobertas Parish Council; Arrouquelas Parish Council; Union of the Parishes of Pataias and Martingança; Union of the Parishes of Colmeias and Memória; Sines Parish Council; A-dos-Francos Parish Council; and three duly identified citizens. Contributions from the following municipalities were also received after expiry of the deadline: Montemor-o-Velho, Montijo and Palmela.
