On 24 November 2021, the Portuguese Committee of URSI is holding its 15th congress, on the subject "Environmental sustainability in the use of radio spectrum".
Best Student Paper Award
Aiming to encourage young Portuguese authors, ANACOM sponsors the Best Student Paper Award, which will be awarded to the best paper presented by a student who is its first author and also presents it at the Congress (oral pitch of 3 to 5 minutes).
To enter for this award, applicants should submit the entry form, simultaneously with their article. ANACOM reserves the right to require confirmation of the academic status of all entries.
Interested parties are hereby invited to submit original scientific papers in the following areas:

10. Electromagnetics in biology and medicine.
The selected works will be presented at the congress (pitch of 3-5 minutes) and subsequently published on ANACOM's website.
Rules governing submission of papers
Entries must be submitted no later than 13 October 2021, by email sent to ursi.por@anacom.ptmailto:ursi.por@anacom.pt, and should have 2 to 4 complete pages in PDF format, using the IEEE template http://www.ieee.org/publications_standards/publications/authors/authors_journals.html, with two columns.
The first author of the entry will be notified as to the acceptance of the work for oral presentation.
The official language of the Congress is Portuguese, although communications are also accepted in English and Spanish.
ANACOM-URSI Portugal Prize
The Portuguese Committee of URSI, sponsored by ANACOM, will also award the "ANACOM-URSI Portugal Prize" to the best research work in the area of radioelectricity. The purpose of this award is to stimulate creativity and rigour in scientific research work in Portugal. This distinction will be awarded at the close of the congress.
