Approval of the proposal on the value of the social tariff for provision of broadband internet access services

ANACOM approved, on 27 September 2021, the proposal to be submitted to the Government regarding the value of the social tariff for provision of fixed or mobile broadband internet access services which will apply for the period when it is made available in 2021 and for 2022, in accordance with and for the purposes of paragraph 3 of article 5 of Decree-Law No 66/2021, of 30 Julyhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1687781.

Approval was also given to the public consultation report, a procedure to which the respective draft decision, approved on 12 August 2021, was submitted, and under which timely contributions were received from the following bodies: MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia; NOS, SGPS on behalf of its subsidiaries NOS Comunicações, NOS Açores Comunicações, and NOS Madeira Comunicações (NOS Group); NOWO Communications; SUMAMOVIL Portugal; Associação dos Operadores de Comunicações Eletrónicas (APRITEL); Associação IUS OMNIBUS; Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (DECO); and also 6 citizens.
