On 27 September 2021, ANACOM approved the final decision on the definition of bandwidth and other quality of service parameters to be observed in the social tariff for provision of fixed or mobile broadband internet access services, in compliance with the requirements set out in Decree-Law No 66/2021https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1687781, published on 30 July.
The prior hearing and public consultation report was also approved, concerning the procedures to which the respective draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1697928, approved on 12 August 2021, was submitted and within the scope of which timely contributions were received from the following bodies: Direção Geral do Consumidor (DGC); MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia; NOS, SGPS on behalf of its subsidiaries NOS Comunicações, NOS Açores Comunicações and NOS Madeira Comunicações (NOS Group); NOWO Communications; SUMAMOVIL Portugal; Associação dos Operadores de Comunicações Eletrónicas (APRITEL); Associação D3 - Defesa dos Direitos Digitais; Associação IUS OMNIBUS; Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (DECO); and also 8 citizens.
