This ANACOM report presents and analyses the information contained in notifications of security breaches or losses of integrity with significant impact sent to ANACOM in 2021 by companies providing public networks or publicly available electronic communications services. It also characterises the evolution of these notifications between 2015 and 2021.
The publication is divided into three chapters: introduction; security incidents in 2021 (number of security incidents reported, root cause, impact on the service); and analysis of incidents in 2021 [distribution of reported incidents, affected subscribers or accesses (thresholds), 112 emergency number calls, (“isolated”) islands, other circumstances and public information].
