On 29 April 2021, ANACOM approved the final decision on the criteria to be observed in the pricing of postal services that make up the universal service (US) during the term of the contract(s) to be entered into by the Portuguese State for the provision of services that make up the US after the current concession expires.
Approval was given also to the report on the prior hearing of consumer representative organisations and the public consultation to which the respective draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1550501, which had been approved by ANACOM on 26 June 2020, was submitted, procedures under which contributions were received, within the deadline, from the following bodies: Direção-Geral do Consumidor (DGC - Directorate-General for Consumers (DGC)1; Regional Department of Transport and Public Works of the Autonomous Region of the Azores (SRTOP Azores), Castanheira de Pera Municipal Council (MC); Crato MC; Faro MC; Lisbon MC; Odivelas MC; Vila Velha de Ródão MC; Folques (Arganil) Civil Parish Council (CPC); Santa Maria Maior (Lisbon) CPC; São Bento (Porto de Mós) CPC; CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT); Premium Green Mail (PGM); Associação de Imprensa de Inspiração Cristã (AIIC – the Christian Inspiration Press Association), Associação Portuguesa de Imprensa (API – the Portuguese Press Association) and Associação Portuguesa de Marketing Directo (AMD – the Portuguese Direct Marketing Association)2; Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (DECO – the Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection) and Sindicato Nacional dos Trabalhadores dos Correios e Telecomunicações (SNTCT – the National Union of Postal and Telecommunications Workers).
