Agência Nacional de Inovação (ANI - the National Innovation Agency) and the National Research Council of Canada, with the support of the Canadian Embassy and IAPMEI - Agência para a Competitividade e Inovação (Agency for Competitiveness and Innovation), held a networking event with Canadian and European companies dedicated to the theme Ocean Observation and Sustainable Maritime Technologies. The session took place on June 24, 2022, at the IAPMEI Auditorium, in Lisbon.
This event, organised with the support of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) and the EUREKA Network, in the context of the Global Innovation Summit 2022, featured presentations and pitches from Canadian and European companies, followed by bilateral meetings between participants.
ANACOM's presentation, led by José Sousa Barros, from ANACOM's Directorate-General for Information and Innovation, focused on the prospects of having the future MAM Ring as a SMART Cable and the benefits that we may obtain. Mutual collaboration between public and private entities from Canada and Portugal may also take place.
