Approval of MEO's cost of capital rate for 2022

By final decision dated 18 October 2022, ANACOM approved the cost of capital rate for MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, applicable to financial year 2022, the draft decisionhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1730004 of which had been notified on 1 September 2022 to the European Commission (EC), the Body of European Regulators for Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the national regulatory authorities of the other European Union Member States.

Following the notification, EC sent, on 13 September 2022, a request for information to ANACOM containing questions broadly related to the way how the notified cost of capital rate is calculated. ANACOM clarified on 16 September 2022 the questions raised by EC. On 3 October 2022, EC issued comments which did not imply any change to the referred draft decision.
