ANACOM organises training session with Angolan regulator

ANACOM and the Angolan Telecommunications Institute (INACOM) held a cooperation and training session on spectrum management, which took place between 16 and 20 October 2023, in the city of Luanda, Angola, as part of the international cooperation between ANACOM and Portuguese-speaking countries.

The aim of this training session was to enable INACOM technicians to operationalise the system for verifying mobile network coverage from the user's point of view (QoE). To this end, some tests were carried out on mobile networks, namely in urban environments, on roads and at Luanda's new airport.

Training was also provided in interference resolution and radio spectrum measurements, particularly at transmitter centres or complex radiocommunications systems. To complement this session, online IT tools developed by ANACOM were also made available to carry out spectrum supervision.

ANACOM organised this session in Angola, as it did in other sessions/initiatives held in Cape Verde, São Tomé and Príncipe, East Timor, Mozambique and Guinea, with the aim of bringing the various regulators closer together and encouraging the sharing of knowledge, information and organisational procedures.
