The International Telecommunication Union (UIT) is preparing for the 10th consecutive year the publication of a survey of the 2004 telecommunication regulatory situation (2004 Telecommunication Regulatory Survey), which provides information about the sector situation in ITU countries, compiling data about legislation in force, the regulatory activity and statistics. These data may be used to assist in the analysis of trends of telecommunication developments and to plan training actions and edition of various publications, guides and information services.
For this purpose, a preliminary questionnaire was disclosed, to be the bases, addressed to ITU Member-States and prepared within the scope of the Regulatory Reform Unit of the Telecommunication Development Sector (ITU-D).
